From the start, Meghan Markle understood her purpose of sharing her story. She recognized no human should experience that torture, no matter their title. Being called “Duchess of Sussex” was not worth the mental pain she endured in her time in the palace. Husband, Prince Harry, also known as Henry Charles Albert David, provided the utmost support throughout the hidden process of suppression within the family.
Oprah Winfrey is an experienced professional with inquiring her guests politely and providing insight on the topic as well as permitting a platform for those in the spotlight or in need. Winfrey’s name appears over a list of industries; talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. When she announced the collaboration with the royal couple, the world stood on the tip of their toes until March 7, 2020.
In a recent interview with Oprah Winfrey, Markle opened up about devastating thoughts while living with the royal family. Emotions were higher than ever as she talks about the night she almost cracked under the pressure, yet had to work and attend an event with her husband. Luckily, she warned the Prince of the curating thoughts she was having and he was able to give her that lending hand, quite literally, the entire period of time that they were out. She brings awareness to one specific picture taken as they were walking past the crowds. Many see a vibrant smile, but in her eyes she knows the only way she was walking at that moment is the fact that Harry held her hand so tightly. She goes on: “You can see the white in our hands.” More behind the scenes of such a terrifying description directly correlates with the lack of protection their baby (and future babies) would receive and the circulated, false tabloids.
On a lighter note, the Prince joined the Duchess moments after her emotional delivery of the internal struggles she faced. Despite the horrific events that triggered their move, any one could find hope in the way they looked at each other. With a young toddler at home and one on the way, the parents could not be more in awe of the life they have built together. Confidence seemed nearly inadequate in Markle’s soul, but with Harry, Archie, and a baby on the way, she tells the world that is just what she needs. Archie, their one year old, was a product of the pair in 2019. He is in the royalty line, but with their decision to curve the palace, he may get to live a more normal life than expected.
