Why Gal Gadot Is A Real-Life ‘Wonder Woman’

Gal Gadot remains a strong force in feminism and an inspiration for females young and old alike. Gadot was cast as Wonder Woman in 2013; the movie premiered on June 2, 2017. Like many actors and actresses who take on the role of a superhero, she trained in multiple different styles of combat in order to prepare for the intensity of scenes.

Director, Patty Jenkins, and Gadot agreed that Wonder Woman needed a healthy appearance- what they deem as strong. Her trainer, Magnus Lygdback, who worked with stars like James McAvoy on Glass and Alicia Vikander on Lara Croft, emphasized his goals with the future Wonder Woman: “We weren’t going for the most muscle mass possible. We wanted to build a strong foundation, focus on keeping Gal mobile and uninjured.” The professional trainer focused on a firm goal of five meals a day to increase her metabolism and five strength workouts a week. Most of the strength movements increased her functionality within her fast-twitch muscles. As many see in the movie, she completes loads of running.

Viewers are unfamiliar with the fact that she was in the early stages of pregnancy with her daughter, Maya, while filming both Wonder Woman and Justice League. She indeed must be a real life superhero. More in tune with the time, she posted a family picture on Instagram with her petite baby bump. Baby number three is on the way for the family of four!

In an interview with Vanity Fair Gadot said, “One of the biggest things that I believe is that you can only dream about becoming someone or something after you’ve seen it visually. And for boys—lucky them—they got to experience, since the beginning of the movies, that they were the protagonist, they were the strong ones, they saved the day.”

In the first installment of Wonder Woman Gadot was paid $300,000 for her role, the comparison between this figure and that of a male lead was stark, and infuriating for some, but she pushed ahead with the release Wonder Woman 1984 where Gadot earned $10 million this time around; shooting her onto the list of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses.

From her morals to her beauty, the actress radiates light into the world and her work. She creates a positive vision for all ages and genders to look up to. Kindness is truly a world-changing element, and Gal Gadot adds element to that statement.
