Claiming the new aesthetic of photographers “Haute/DIY”, Vogue Italia sheds respect to the innovative creations of those not directly in the scene.
Specifically, Annie Collinge and her partners who go by “Rotting Dean Bazaar” on Instagram, are pointed out in a post made by Vogue Italia.
She racks up about 20,000 followers with her surreal imagery. Even Alexa Chung from British Vogue headquarters, a seven-story office building in Mayfair W1, keeps an eye on her page as she gave her a follow.
Distortions are popular amongst her page; art created by random objects she finds around. You name it: soda cans into an mushroom display, vegetables and plants into a face, stacked chairs that somehow gets unrealistically (in the most artistic fashion) smaller as the tower builds, dolls glued on top of a random car on the side of the road, a hotdog with a mini doll shoe on the end of it to mimic a human leg.
However, she does more than simply personal shoots, she retrieved the honor of shooting for SZ Magazine. A majority of the shoot dealt with a nature-based theme- mushrooms, trees, vegetables, a fire, water, etc.. As a creative director, they let her have free range at demonstrating her mind and talent.
A podcaster on “The Messy Truth”, publishing books and prints, selling NFT, and running her photography business, the woman is spread out, but in the most astonishing way. She takes each opportunity and turns it into a grander event; for example, Vogue Italia discovering her work and asking her for an in-depth interview!
A woman with ease and brains, we love to see it all. Follow along with her journey on Instagram and check out the interview with Vogue Italia in the link in Vogue’s bio.
