Similar to how we feel about clothes, music is another method of ultimate communication and expression. We all listen to it. Whether it be in the grocery store, at a sports event, or in our headphones, it is infectious at a global level. You most definitely have heard the three artists who broke barriers at the annual Grammys show this year. Anitta, Harry Styles, and Lizzo, are just three individuals who turned their life into lyricism that luckily turns on the emotions for all listeners whether we are dedicated fans or passerby’s on the street.
The line-up for the prestigious musical show: Harry Styles, Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, Kim Petras, Sam Smith, Brandi Carlile, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Chris Stapleton, DJ Khaled, and Luke Combs. Now that is a VIP list we have patiently waited for from artists dedicated to the seventies, to country, to soul, and everything in between. Viewers were beyond pleased as the show featured an assortment of the world’s household names.
Brazilian funk and pop artist, Anitta, claimed the first nomination for her birthplace, Brazil, at the Grammys in fifty years. Affiliating with Levi’s for the “Best New Artist” party, her two looks screamed vintage denim with a degree of her sensual persona; “My red carpet look for the night felt like the perfect expression of my personal style.”
Night after night, she had events that celebrated her milestone accomplishment of simply finding herself in this category. Fellow nominee, Samara Joy, a young singer from the Bronx took home the award after being compared to previous figures like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan.
Harry freaking Styles, ladies and gentlemen! The pure emotions behind his writing led to a connection that the fans just could not kick. “Harry’s House” ended up winning him a Grammy of his own. After a full year of touring, Styles is somehow still bursting with his infectious energy. Despite outfit changes amidst his different roles during the show, he remained loyal to the sparkles. A Gucci ensemble may have just been his good luck charm as he rang in “Album Of The Year” and “Best Pop Vocal Album”; not to mention he was nominated for six trophies at the end of the day.
Carrying a 1955 bag and a tailored suit from the brand complimented his timeless individuality.
The outfit that broke even more news was his EGONLAB x Swarovski Crystal Couture jumpsuit. You thought Styles was worth millions, add 250,000 hand-made crystals into the mix.
“Special thanks to Harry Lambert for believing in EGONLAB and to give us the opportunity to express ourselves with infinite freedom,” the team shares.
Lizzo sitting with Beyonce and Adele is an ode to her fabulous contribution to her message and the busy industry. “Me and Adele are just having a good time rooting for our friends,” she started off her acceptance speech for Record Of The Year.
“When we lost Prince, I decided to dedicate my life to making positive music,” she offered a word to the late king of all music.
A night for all to feel the love is the whole image of the 65th Grammy Award Show.
