Shawn Mendes is Back and Better Than Ever in Paris for Loewe AW24

Awarding Paris his presence, Shawn Mendes, took a serene route with a sage green parka and trousers; a design by Loewe. Keeping it simple, he chose the no shirt route and kept his chest wide open for the European air.

Guests and fans alike were fixed on his captivating smile and family-dedicated tattoos.

He had a front row view of Loewe’s Womenswear Fall/Winter 2024 collection.

Jonathan Anderson, the Creative Director of the luxury brand, drew from Albert York, an American artist.

Mimicking nature’s scenery, the stage set formed a maze with three shades of green complimenting the straw hay.

Through the intentional work the singer incorporates into his life- nearly all of his life- takes lots of inspiration from the being of Earth itself.

This show was right up his alley- it was too good to be true.

Such creative depth ranging from the artist himself, to Jackie Kennedy (a collector), to Anderson invited new forms and new thoughts.

What did the creative director want people to take away from his AW24 production and clothing? Art lives on beyond the creator themselves.

Etonian-inspired suits and pants shared similarities to many European norms; one that Prince Harry grew up wearing to boarding school.

Reminiscing on past articles that went beyond luxury and wealth, he questions, “Why do we buy things and why do those things have meaning?”.

“I think it’s always in an exploration stage and you go back to it and how do you look at historical craft that has nothing to do with fashion and reapply it to clothing?”

The purpose: for wearers of clothing- everyone- to think of who they are wearing. The time, effort, imagination, and trail of inspiration sewed into every stitch.

Designing through storytelling, Loewe and Anderson are effectively renovating the context of fashion.
