The Couch May Be The Dreamiest Destination Of Your Life, At Least For Robyn Del Monte

Also known as “The Internet’s Agent”, Robyn Del Monte has the creative brain of Pablo Picasso, Taylor Swift, Kris Jenner, etc.. Let’s say Del Monte and Jenner are incredible at splitting the normal. The Boston-based creator worked hard to get to her current position and answered a recent question, “Has anyone reached out to hire you?”

“Yes, it happened only because I started making videos on my couch. Three months ago I was living on my friend’s couch. Two months ago I was working two jobs- one in retail, one in waitressing- busting my ass cause I was going to go back to school and I could barely pay my bills. For the past four years, I have applied to hundreds of jobs and just went from job to job to job. I never got the jobs I wanted. I literally would apply to hundreds of jobs and never got them, and I think it’s because they couldn’t fully see my creativity on a resume. I think that the whole industry needs to change, that’s a whole other story. But, once I finally put my guard down, put my creativity on the internet, started making videos on my couch, literally the course of my life has changed. And it’s only been three weeks. I’ll never stop being outwardly so fucking gracious. It is truly the biggest blessing. I know what it is like to not have these types of opportunities because I worked my ass off to try to get these opportunities and it never happened for me. It beat me down, beat me down, beat me down, but I never gave up.”

Maybe everyone should start sitting on their couches more?

Public relations is the ability to properly manage a brand, well-known person, or organization in order to receive a certain amount of attention or admiration from the general population.

Now hopefully that you have a better grasp on the occupation, you can gage the creativity that is necessary. Each agent’s input intends to pave it’s way in the reality of their client’s life or existence. When they make a decision, it not only impacts how they are perceived as an innovative, business-minded employee, but it impacts the public’s perception of the client.

Pressure is a red-flag for all. The bliss of it all is that Del Monte branded “Girl Boss Town” on TikTok with nominal pressure. Zero worries for what the result may entail as she sat on the couch and talked to the camera in her pajamas and glasses. Little did she know, her life would take a significant turn into the world of some of the most celebrated artists, singers, actors, companies, organizations, etc..

Alabama Luella Barker, daughter of Travis Barker, is one of many highly-followed names who reached out to Robyn for her advice. If you need to know what niche could be the next best thing of yours, ask the queen of PR herself. She goes on to explain more ventures for potential clients: 818, Kendall Jenner’s tequila company, should provide pop-up shops at spring breaks for college students, Hannah Meloche must come out with a tinted moisturizer sunscreen for Gen-Z, as she is a popular face for this generation, called “No Make-Up, Make-Up” due to Gen-Z’s obsession with the “natural” look, and the star of becoming infinitely viral, Olivia Rodrigo, should host her own singing competition (like The Voice or American Idol) called “Viral”, but instead of auditioning, they look on social media to discover talent (similar to how Tate McCrae, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, The Weeknd, Charlie Puth, Halsey, 5 Seconds of Summer, Calvin Harris, and many more).

You hear that employers love authenticity. If Del Monte’s case does not prove the theory correct, I most certainly do not know what will.

All the way from The University of New Hampshire as a Marketing major, the next-level business woman is accelerating her way to the top. There is nothing out there that matches her sophistication within her work ethic. She provides valuable information that is executed in a condensed manner. Videos are the next best thing for this day and age as our attention spans are lacking, but again, the woman is a genius and uses that fault to her advantage. You have to find those faults of a brand or celebrity as a PR agent in order to provide the capping pieces.

“Make your own lane.” You heard the woman! Now, seriously go. Right now. Opportunities are random and gracious and genuine. If you are meant to do something, the steps towards greatness will align for you. You have to pave your own path when everyone else cannot seem to do it for you. We like to think that we will magically be granted a job and when it does not happen for weeks, months, maybe even years, our adrenaline crashes. There is no excitement. But, let’s switch that starting literally this moment in time. You need to start trusting that your time on this Earth is precious and purposeful. If you have that dream or idea in your heart, know it is there for a reason.

In classic “Girl Boss Town” style, ÜP wants to reverse the roles. “She deserves to be on the cover, her face needs to be seen. I’m pulling a “What I Would Do If I Were On Robyn Del Monte’s Team” moment and suggesting that she allows me to style, photograph, and interview her. Her voice deserves recognition. ÜP is more than ready to give that to her,” Beil discloses.
