Cold Showers Are Not So Bad After All

Our hearts will slow down 20 to 30 beats each minute, 24 hours a day. That’s like running every day of your life, and you should continue to treat your heart by exercising it, but imagine a world where you just have to stand and allow water to wash away your ailments.

But, there’s more!

Blood flow increases to each inch of the body which supplies a surplus of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals as well. We feel more alive due to the fact that we quite literally are. Our body and mind is receiving more nutrition and oxygen than it did before we decided to hop on the cold shower call.

You may even notice your stress retreat; slowly, but surely. The chill of the water is a positive shock to our sympathetic nervous system. Norepinephrine and endorphins are more readily available to treat anxiety, a feeling far too many are familiar with in this fast-paced world.

Slow down.

Let each drop penetrate your skin, and send you into euphoria.

If you can only start with 30 seconds, that is perfectly normal. You are supposed to build yourself up to withstand a longer duration. Just like anything else, you gradually grow more in tune with that specific skill, if practiced.

You know what they say, 10,000 hours is the estimated time to become an expert. If you can train your mind to be stronger than your body, you will be unstoppable. Maybe, you will even gravitate towards cold showers for the rest of time.

We recommend increasing your session times little by little, about 3-5 seconds each shower. Once you reach a certain limit, and do not use too much water, then you can remain at that healthy plateau.
