70 Years of The Queen Calls For An Anticipated Platinum Jubilee Featuring Diana Ross

Queen Elizabeth II certainly can hold her own as the British monarch; from stepping up to the throne to present day, she is captivating as ever. While she owns the title of the Queen of England, she owns the legacy she has paved for herself. This legacy we mention includes all from the coronation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding to all of the adversity within the family and more. She has held her own in front of such an evolved world from the moment she began her time as the “Queen”.

Who other than Diana Ross, a seasoned singer and performer, to kick off her four-day jubilee. She is set to take the stage this Saturday, June 4, 2022.

If you have not ever heard of a jubilee, Her Majesty certainly has experiences to share with you from her past three- Silver (1977), Gold (2002), and Diamond (2012)- and now the Platinum Jubilee. As the first British ruler to reach this length of service, it is inevitable that she may be adorned in a glamorous hat of sorts and polish the entire look with her Guards Brooch passed down from her grandmother, the late Queen Mary.

Each June you will find the Guards Brooch pinned to her chest for Trooping the Colour- her birthday celebration. Naturally, the brooch is composed of real diamonds of which form the badges of the five regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies. All five rotate each year to troop their colours for the queen herself. “Quinque juncta in uno” is written out on the jewel piece; that stands for, “Five joined as one”.

Angela Kelly, the Queen’s wing woman in the clothing department, otherwise known as her professional stylist of 25 years, has given us unforgettable looks left and right. “Hartnell and Amies made her more individual, while Angela Kelly has been very clever and managed to take her individual style and make it sparkle,” understood by historian Michael Pick. Vibrant coats and matching hats are now just two of the Lady’s signature fashion moves.

Festivities for the Platinum Jubilee are predicted to be as glamorous as glamorous gets. Ross will honor the Queen as she did at the Royal Variety Performance back in 1991. Two women who are the face of many generations in one room will already be too much to handle, and add in Ross’ styling as well, we are already fan-girling.
