Until you see the elaborate looks brought to the table by Anna Dello Russo, a pop star of fashion, you have not seen extravagance to such a high degree. She shape shifted street style all in the matter of her time spent working with influential designers. Who said you cannot make the Met Gala an everyday occasion?
Designers like Gianna Versace and Tom Ford and Alessandro Michele and Nicholas Ghesquière all threw their designs at the walking fashion board. They knew she would instantly catch the eyes of all who came across her, and that was a form of marketing for them. A concept that has now turned into more of a normal form of partnerships with celebrities, and even influencers.
Anna had one job and one job only, and that was to be original. However, it all fell onto her physical appearance. She wanted to capture the hearts of people in more than one way, and that is when she had the brilliant idea to sell her clothes to reset. All proceeds went to the Swarovski Foundation Scholarship program to aid future fashion designers of upcoming generations.
She was not moving on from clothes, she was evolving in her business shoes. She also cares for the future of fashion and wants “to pass that on to a new generation.”
