Sofia Richie Chanel Wedding Looks To Become a “Grainge”

Sofia Richie sets the bar for everything; weddings included now!

“Marry your best friend,” she advises those following along with the timeline of Richie and her now husband, Elliot Grainge. The two are a match made for each other, as confirmed by their effortless, ear-to-ear smiles throughout the duration of all the steps it takes to be official in matrimony.

The saying: “When you know you know” may just be confirmed after hearing about this couple’s brief, but bottomless love story.

A year later, the music executive and founder of 10K Projects dropped down on one knee during a surprise trip to Hawaii with their closest friends tagging along.

From then on, “it was a full-time job”.

Nonetheless, she confirmed, “w”great time” during the collaboration with Banana Split Events for their vow exchange in front of parents, Lionel and Nicole Richie, Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, and Paris Hilton at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.

Chanel had to get in on the action, especially after hearing about Richie’s- or should we say Grainge’s- long-awaited wishes to work with them for this day specifically. Recreating a runway-inspired look from 1993 when Claudia Schiffer wore a short, bustier dress embellished with a singular rose, pulled her “little girl dreams” from the past.

“I feel like it is extremely traditional Chanel with the flower,” she describes after being asked how she felt in the fitting.

In her wedding dress she would soon wear down the aisle, she could not contain her admiration for her husband. “I’m so excited to be married just because I’m marrying Elliot, I know that sounds cheesy, but he’s the man of my dreams.”

Many dreams came true for Sofia during this lifetime commitment; including, a nightclub-themed after-party which showcased their less serious sides.

Wedding tip number two from the bride: “Make it a party”.

Having your own father be Lionel Richie is an accomplishment in itself, but imagine casually having him sing at your wedding to cap off the greatest day of your life. She would not have had it any other way as he is “the most comforting figure” in her life, and goes on to admit that moments before she walked down the aisle his words of wisdom and calm demeanor made her feel extra grateful to have her parents.

Fashion houses, like Chanel, are feeling out the ascending trend for bridal wear. Long before the current work of Chanel for Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge, Dolce & Gabbana worked with Kourtney Kardashian Barker and Travis Barker, Oscar de la Renta went with Paris Hilton and Carter Reum, and many more.

Karl Lagerfeld popularized the significance of wedding attire.

He took it beyond the meaning of the all-white symbolism and used his design wizardry to make statements about gay marriage, gender identity, austerity, showmanship, and untainted beauty.

Richie concludes that he was a confirming factor in designing her personally-tailored collection with Chanel.

Capping off the night with every French food imaginable back at the villa where the day began, allowed the wife and husband to reflect on their future ahead and how much love is all around them.

She reminds us, “It is so rare and so special to have all of your loved ones in one place”.
