Netflix executed a docuseries based on the foundation of David Beckham’s career as a professional athlete in the passionate world of soccer, and how his life forever changed when he met Victoria, now a Beckham herself. Four hour-long episodes explain the trajectory of which Beckham’s wild ride of a life took after being recognized by Manchester’s major figure of a coach, Alex Ferguson.
Bouncing around from points of his life, each episode contains a swirl of milestones; predicting he would marry Victoria after seeing her on the TV, Ferguson kicking a football at the star’s head, Victoria telling him she was pregnant with their first child before the 1998 World Cup Match, his diagnosis of clinical depression after the World Cup loss, and many, many seemingly impossible goals made.
Boyhood for him included practicing his skills and pulling out unseen tricks on the field during his premature games.
Shot by shot, he injected himself into the vision of Ferguson and die-hard fans alike.
The family-man never let the fame get to his head, he was quite in front of the spotlight.
Shy as ever, David Beckham retells the moment he first saw Victoria Beckham, former Spice Girl and current fashion designer, on the TV. She made her way to a Manchester United game unexpectedly and afterwards sat across the bar from David. You could say he manifested her with one virtual look.
We might add that he was the most favored player on the team and truly only had an eye for the sport of soccer, until a woman like Victoria came along.
When it came time for another game, she was there again.
“Posh and Becks” grew into existence after slickly earning the number of the girl of his dreams on her London-to-Manchester plane ticket, and they were inseparable from that moment on.
Marrying each other took place in Dublin, Ireland during the middle of the year of 1999.
The designer- before she was a designer- chose Vera Wang to deliver an image of gold. Satisfying the theme, Slim Barrett produced the gold tiara that solidified their claim to “royalty”.
The retired athlete displays his major love for his wife to this day, and they are known to the world currently as the “only standing power couple”.
Hand-in-hand, anywhere they go, they drop their personal fads of clothing. Victoria was destined for this space after patenting the “Posh” edgy brand. Beckham turns anything into a “thing”; take a white tank top and baggy designer pants for example.

4 Times The Beckham’s Outdid Themselves
- Matching black tops and matching haircuts!
- Victoria dressing David 99% of the time with the skirt look that opened new doors and shut down old-school norms.
- Sticking to the all black theme with a vest tank top for Victoria and an airy silk button up for David at the 2nd NRJ Music Awards at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
- A co-ord of wood-brown silk material in the form of a sweet-heart strapless top and trousers- she left a literal mark with zebra-striped pumps. Meanwhile, David complemented her in a maroon suit, fire-red dress shoes, and -the main feature- an oversized latex maroon trench coat. The two took these looks to the premiere of Withnail and I in London in 2000.
