Space is a dramatic word to describe the setting of New York City (where the September issue photoshoot took place), the amount of love between two humans, and the gap we bridged between Abby Rozen’s internal thoughts and the world’s knowledge of them.
Now, we took time to uncover the happenings that evolved the cover star into who she is today through deeper questions that dabble in growing up with immigrant parents, the landscape of her dreams from childhood to adulthood, and why friendship has lately become the easiest priority in her life- aside from her family.
Since the day the Editor-in-Chief had the privilege of a courteous invite to the Rozen home, she understood what family meant to her dear friend (and now cover star).
“When I was a young child, I was actually really shy. Shy to the point where my mom would bribe me with chocolate to say hello to the local policeman when we crossed the street to my school. I still wouldn’t do it. I still have somewhat “traumatizing” memories of being put in time out or staying in from recess in preschool because I would refuse to talk to anyone. Now, I am extremely outspoken and actually thrive (I think) when it comes to public speaking. I’m quite the opposite of shy.”
Referring to her transition from a little girl who hid under a shell to a forward, welcoming woman, she claims that her “overall happiness has just shot through the roof”. It’s safe to say she fell in love with everything around her, the biggest change yet in her twenties.
“After knowing Hannah for two years and learning about her dream and passions, I was so excited to see her in action.”
New York City most definitely brought out that side of the creative director, and brought out the cover star in Abby Rozen.
