Ariana Granite makes a second appearance as a cover star, now in the presence of her very-soon-to-be husband, Jeremy Prince.
Ariana comments on their elopement plans, “Something we both value is authenticity- and with that comes our wedding plans…. an elopement!!! Although big and grand weddings are the norm in my Italian family culture, Jeremy and I have always preferred more intimate settings and we both have always had the personality characteristic of not being afraid to go against the grain- doing an elopement is just right for our most authentic selves. It allows for intimacy and for the focus of the day to be about the core meaning of our wedding. We plan on saying our vows privately so that our words are just for one another, not influenced by an audience which for me, it would be.”
Pet names may not be your fancy, but for “Rosie” and “Jerry”, it is the end-all-be-all.
Jeremy took us back to where it all started and when he knew Ariana turned into his “Rosie” forever.
“After our first date which took place at a museum, we shared a moment back at Rosie’s apartment in which I showed Rosie a piano instrumental song called “Rest” by UPPERROOM that is about 30 minutes long. We both thought the song was so peaceful as it echoed throughout the apartment and we were on her couch in her apartment. We both in our “cupcake stage” couldn’t help just look each other in the eyes and smile. The song had played 3x through while we were in a state of love and flow. An hour and a half of silence and smiles, one we will never forget.
Does the saying “opposites attract” ring true to you now? We sure do!
What do they have to say for that classic belief?
First things first, they do believe it is true as they are a direct image. But, for those differences to work, your values need to be the same.
“We truly balance each other out,” Granite celebrates following her illustration of the man of her dreams- a phenomenon we love around here (seeing dreams come true).
Spontaneous or cautious?
“Like the time he bought our Italy plane tickets after months of me going back and forth about it so that I had no choice but to go even though I didn’t want to!”
Jeremy: spontaneous. Ariana: cautious.
Calm or overwhelmed?
“For the Italy trip he was very cautious and planned out every detail to a T so we wouldn’t have to worry about anything.”
Jeremy: calm. Ariana: overwhelmed.
Outgoing or self-protected? The differences can go on, but now we see how their identical values make their personalities complementary rather than a clash of too many alternatives coming together if they had different values as well, meaning also very different lifestyles. Lifestyles can be different as well, but in certain ways. If it is absolutely out of your comfort zone to try something your partner loves to do or takes part in many days of the week, then maybe that person does not fit the life you see for yourself. There are multiple boxes to evaluate before jumping with someone.
