“When you least expect it”, we have all heard that before, but the pairing for this issue brought this saying to life.
February cover star herself, Snezhana Serafimoska, brought perspective to life.
It was admiration and eagerness at first sight, if you will, in Founder Hannah Beil’s eyes.
“Some strangers do not feel so foreign to me. I see someone out in public and sometimes I just feel called to know more, talk more, and create more to share with the rest of the world. I just got lucky to pass Snezhana in person wherever I happened to be,” our creative director described how this month manifested for the two.
She needs to continue this story, “She was with her precious mother, and I blurted out the question “Would you like to be in my magazine?” so quickly as I could not let her slip away. I came to find out she already models, wants to pursue more modeling, and has a beautiful story to tell!”
The vision from the jump always leaned more editorial, but this February we went ahead and started from scratch.
“I was not so worried about where we were going to shoot, and usually that is a massive factor for me. However, this time it was all about the imagination for what she would be wearing, at least for one of the outfits.”
Extracting inspiration from vintage catalogs and imagining physical artistic movement from her body, the creative director honed in on building a pure black, tube-like dress that would act as a blank canvas.
Serafimoska is the main focus this February.
