Some people are just capable of doing it all, and our cover star is one of them. Our New York City expert with the stamina to survive the business of fashion walks us through her ladder of life decisions, many proving she found unique success in her twenties.
Glamorous she is, sporting/rocking preppy to contemporary looks, Alex Smithco shows off her personal clothing collection in our March issue.
“There was no doubt in my mind she had a closet to work with,” the Editor-in-Chief, Hannah Beil, takes us back to the beginning, “She survived not only New York City, but the business of New York City style and persona.”
Alex Smithco is one of the most gentle, yet powerful humans you will ever come across, so stick around for this interview because we promise a new sense of inspiration.
She is a real-life influencer (and not in the terms we use that word today).
Her calm body language speaks volumes to a new found relaxed state of being after moving from New York City, her address of four years, back to her hometown.
“Social awareness is most definitely one of the top qualities needed to survive living in NYC,” Smithco provides a guide to residing in one of the world’s largest cities.
The two could talk forever about wardrobes and personal style: “I don’t really feel the urge to keep up with trends. If I like something, I like it. I don’t like it because it’s trendy. At this point in my life, I am more focused on a closet full of staple pieces and am still in the process of trying to recycle pieces that don’t fit within that.”
Keep an eye out on her upcoming lists as she did let us know she is indeed a fan of Spring cleaning!
“I normally don’t like being photographed,” our model summarizes the issue, “I am horrible with poses and faces but with Hannah’s direction, I was having so much fun and I think that will be really telling by the images.”
